DJ, selector, producer and event organizer, Rudy Roots has been active since 2001. His musical journey started with reggae and sound system culture and has evolved through dub, dancehall, digital, jungle, drum & bass and bass music. For more than 25 years, the focus has remained the same: selecting strong tunes, mixing them with precision, taking risks and creating sets that feel different every time. No fixed formula. No two sets are exactly the same.
Based in France, Rudy Roots has spent many years developing his musical activities internationally, with a strong connection to Goa, India.
Over the years, he has played, organized and collaborated across different scenes and countries, including:

Goa has been an important part of Rudy Roots' musical journey for many years.
In 2011, he started Reggae Rules The Beach, a series of reggae events bringing sound system culture to the beaches of Goa.
He later became a regular part of the music scene at Riva Beach Resort, where he played and hosted Sunday events for several years, with crowds reaching around 1,000 people.
Since 2016, he has also been involved with Goa Sunsplash, one of India's major reggae and sound system festivals, both as an artist and as part of the organizing team.
For Rudy Roots, DJing is not about following a fixed playlist.
It's about reading the moment, finding the right combination, dropping an unexpected tune, working the effects and keeping the mix alive.
After more than 25 years behind the decks, the goal is still simple :
Make people feel something. Make them move. Make them go crazy.
Every crowd is different. Every place is different.
So every set should be different too.
